NTMT offers foundational training for individuals seeking a career in Traffic Management. All of our dedicated, approved instructors have a wealth of knowledge spanning over twenty years. Delivering practical and theoretical training to successfully achieve certification and industry acknowledged qualifications.
NTMT offers two courses to start your career, the first being the TTMBC (temporary traffic management basic course). This course provides a fundamental understanding of working on highways and includes a Lantra Smartcard (e-card from April 2023) with a CSCS entitlement that is valid for six months. Upon completing a medical examination, graduates can work with top TM companies across the UK.
To maintain your certification, within six months, candidates must progress to the T1T2 (single carriageways) or 12AB (high-speed dual carriageways and motorways) course. Achieving either of those qualifications allows you to complete further progression by requesting an on-site assessment of your competence. Upon all competence criteria being observed, you will be signed off by Lantra approved assessor as a fully qualified operative (M1M2).
For further progression, candidates can choose a career path such as LTMO (Lead TM Operative), TMF (foreman), IPV foreman, or IPV driver. Or, for single carriageways and low-speed dual, completing courses and assessments to achieve further relevant modules – M3/4/5/6 or, for managers and client officers M7.
All candidates must possess your personal protective equipment, including a high visibility vest, trousers, jacket, steel cap boots, gloves, hard hat, and safety glasses, as it is a requirement of the job.
CARD CHECKER
It is very IMPORTANT to check the status of your CSCS smart card/qualifications if you are wanting to book a 12AB or T1/T2.
If your card has expired you will NOT be able to attend either of these courses without your card being in date.
